You will want to purchase a better than average web service if you are planning to host a website that is looking to sell products or services, host forums and chat rooms, and interactive menus and items. When you are selling products or services, you will need to be able to run a web store on your site and payment services like credit card verifiers and paypal etc. Hosting a variety of pictures is going to require more bandwidth too.

Hosting public forums and chat rooms on your website will require that you are able to offer to interactive capabilities on your site which will mean that you will likely have to use unmanaged dedicated servers in order to run the run in a more controlled and secure manner. You should be relatively experienced when you are planning to run this type of web service because it will take a great deal of effort to maintain it and monitor the actions going on.
