When people hear the phrase, "Web site design", they immediately think of a simple group of pictures and colors which make the web site look attractive to the naked eye. What a more clever business person would realize is that there is more to web site design than what meets the eye.
There are many different ways in which you can make a website attractive to a consumer as well as subtly marketing your product at the same time. Flash design is one way that businesses and designers use to attract the consumers in a more obvious way. Flash web site design can be animated, is always in motion and integrates bright and vibrant colors.
The Flash is usually in a box in the middle at the bottom of the page or at the top and it almost always contains the product's slogan or the product itself. If the flash is effective it should mesmerize the consumer and amaze them, making them want to buy your product.
A more subtle way to advertise and promote your product to the customer is to place subtle images, pictures and content in the background of your web site. What is commonly used is an image of the product you are selling or whatever your web site design is based around behind the actual content of your site.
So that while the potential customer is reading through your information, which is not exactly the most interesting part of most websites, they are staring at your product image or symbol the entire time. This makes your web site design look very professional and attractive, while at the same time you are marketing your web site in a way that the customer is not fully aware of. You are selling your product in the obvious way and the sub-conscious way as well.
