Small Business and Web Hosting -- Staying out of Last Place!

Do I really need web hosting for my small business, you ask? Do you have a cafe? A clothing shop? A little kiosk at your local mall? In the 21st century everything and everyone from Madonna to the Hong-Kong singer "Wing" have their own websites. Your local mall probably has their own website. The web is the first place where many people will go for information. It's easy. It's convenient.

They can find your hours of operations, what goods you sell/buy, important contact details all with the click of a button. Your website doesn't need to be a cinematic masterpiece, but, as small business, you need to identify your web hosting needs.

Pole Position: web hosting small business needs -- At the Starting Line!

When you first start off with your small business website, remember these two important words. "Small" and "business". You are not the CEO of a Fortune 500 company (yet). Keep your website simple and thorough. Don't start something and leave it unfinished. And more importantly, don't put half-finished components online. Start off small. Your company name, logo (if you have one), address, hours of operation, a contact phone number or two. Even an e-mail address. Set the groundwork for bigger and better things. Your small business web hosting should be modest.

And they're ok!!! -- Small business web hosting takes the lead!

You've set up the basics. Now it's time to burn some rubber and make the website work for you. You are probably paying between $5-20 dollars on your small business website. Now the website has to work for you like any other employee. You do not want to spend $100-200 a year on something that isn't going to generate that much in revenue. You want to come off the starting line in a good position. Always think of your website as you would the passenger in your car on a long trip.
