4. Professional Web Site Design Photographs

If you are going to have photos on your web site, which is highly recommended for a real estate agent, make sure they are clear and high quality. Your photos of properties for sale are most likely what will make the web viewer either decide to view the property or pass. Make sure that all your photos are clear and make sure you are using the proper image file type for the web. Photographs should be in .jpg (or .jpeg) form, not .gif form. If you upload your photographs as .gif files, they may look pixelated and unprofessional.

5. Music in Web Design

Music sounds like a good idea in web design, but it rarely is. Don't make the mistake of adding a song sound file to your web site. Music is okay if your website was built in a program such as Flash that allows you to offer a way to turn it off, but otherwise try to avoid it. Song files can be very large and cause your website to load slowly. They can also be very annoying if they are looped to repeat over and over. Volume can be another problem. Sometimes sound files play back louder than you intended them to and they end up startling the web surfer.

So keep those five tips in mind when creating your web sites and you will be on your way to a more professional web site design.
