If you are running an ecommerce website, you are going to want a design company that will give you everything in the same place such as: web page building, multiple emails, domain name registration, web maintenance, and an ecommerce account. This is what full service web design companies are to me. It is a company that gives me everything I need at a good price.
Usually, when you bundle up your packages companies will give you a discount, but the best companies will give you bigger ones if you use all of their services.
The best way to know if you are getting a huge discount is to add prices individually for services and make a grand total to compare with the discount total.
Negotiate to get the best deal from a web design company
When you find the company that is offering good web design services, you really can negotiate your actual pay rates. The more services you use, the better your ability to haggle. It's not the same as with a car, but here is an example. If you get everything from your design company, and the total is $1000 a year; you can offer $900 cash today for the year, or you can negotiate by paying the full $1000 today in exchange for exemption from rate increases throughout the year.
