All of these theories (I am sure there are plenty more) are not necessarily true. At one time, everyone thought that NetZero was a scam too because it offered cheaper internet access than AOL, but that wasn't true either. The truth is that every web hosting has the potential to make all of these myths true. You just have to do your research and check the site out before you make your decision.
