Once you have your software for building the site, you will need to find web space that you can put the site on. It is probably best to go with a cheap or free web site server at first until you get the hang of it. You can move to a paid site after you get used to running a website. Finally, you will need to register a domain name for your dot com web address. You can do this with the same server that offers you web space.

Marketing your web site as a host

You will want people to know that your website is out there and to do this, you have to get the search engines to pull you up during searches. Here are some quick tips for doing this:

1. Put weather trackers or stock tickers on your site so that the content changes constantly. This will keep the Google spiders pulling your site first.

2. Choose common keywords for your website with mini articles that tease visitors enough to send them to your site.

3. Join a free online community and use the free sites provided by them as links to your site.

4. Become an affiliate so that you can trade with other companies. This will help out both of you.
