Just like you can get free web servers, free web space and free domain names; you can also get free web design tools, too, so that you can design your web pages yourself.
There are many free web design tools out there right now. You can download many different programs that will help you with building your web site. Some of the programs include: Coffee Cup, Cool Page, and sSerif. These are complete web building software solutions, however, you can also download free add-ons.
The free designing programs are excellent for the novice. Those mentioned above offer easy interfaces like drag and drop. For the rest of your web building needs, you can also download free updates to programs. Some Windows and Office programs from Microsoft are free with the software that you get from them. You should check to see if you have it before you start downloading new ones.
Do free web design programs work as well as paid versions?
That all really depends on the software that you download. Some of them have the same amount of features as the paid programs while others do not. Most commonly, free programs will often offer free trial or demo versions that you have to pay for before you can use all of the features. This is tricky to catch because some of them advertise it as free. To know the difference, check the license on the software before you accept it.
